Nature is amazing...

These are the places I was so sure I'd find Him
I've looked in the pages
And I've looked down on my knees
I've lifted my eyes in expectation
To see the sun still refusing to shine, but...



Sometimes He comes in the clouds
Sometimes His face cannot be found

But some things can only be known

Sometimes I see me, a sailor out on the ocean
So brave and so sure as long as the skies are clear
But when the clouds start to gather
I watch my faith turn to fear, but...

Fancy Flowers

Now that Spring has truly sprung, my gardens are beginning to come alive. Here are more pictures from around the yard:

Pink Roses collect the rain from last night

Portulaca beginning to bloom by the basement

The Siberian Iris by the cars comes up so fast and full. Here is a not-so-great picture of them. Every year, they seem to grow a little larger. Soon, they're going to take over the garden by the basement door! LOL!!

Debbie's iris come back every year around the end of May.
It seems they got a late bloom this year because of the frosty start to Spring. They're well worth the extra wait though! I love the way they smell. And just look at those colors! Amazing isn't it?

These colorful calibrachoas are having a rough time growing large. I may end up planting another color in with them to fill out the pot. They bloom well, but they aren't as full as they were last year. I ended up planting yellow in with the purple and red to "fill in the blank" but it didn't seem to work...the purple calis look a little sickly this year. And that's with Miracle Grow!

My "birthday pansies" are blooming away in their pot on the deck. One day I went out and noticed they were all drooping and staring at the ground. They looked for all the world like they were dead. I decided to water them anyway and in an hour, they were back to their normal selves! Cheerful and staring at the sky :) I can always tell when I've missed a day of watering because they begin to droop but as soon as they get a little H20, they're good to go!
